78th Independence Day Celebration at Vedant International School
On the 15th of August, Vedant International School, recognized as the Best School in Ahmedabad and a Best CBSE Affiliated School, celebrated the 78th Independence Day with grandeur and patriotic fervor. The event, held on the school premises, was attended by parents, students, and was covered by the Ahmedabad media, capturing the essence of the celebration.
The program commenced with an inspiring speech by our Director, Dharini Shukla, who eloquently emphasized the significance of our nation, India, and the values of freedom, unity, and responsibility that it stands for. Her words set the tone for a day filled with pride and reflection on our national heritage.
Following the director’s speech, the national flag was hoisted with reverence, marking the official start of the Independence Day festivities. The director, along with our esteemed Principal, was warmly welcomed, and this was followed by a march past that showcased the school’s spirit.
The highlight of the event was the parade by our NCC students. Their display of discipline, unity, and dedication to the nation was nothing short of remarkable. They paraded around the school, providing a small yet powerful reenactment of the parade seen at the Red Fort celebrations, offering a glimpse into the life of our soldiers.
Adding to the patriotic atmosphere, the students from the preschool division played a soulful rendition of patriotic songs on their keyboards. The students of Vedant Public School followed with captivating dance performances and group singing, each act reflecting their love for the nation.
The senior students of Vedant International School (VIS) presented a mesmerizing dance and drama performance that depicted the struggles and triumphs of India’s freedom fighters. A standout moment was the declamation of Jawaharlal Nehru’s iconic speech, “Tryst with Destiny,” performed with passion and precision by one of our students, leaving the audience deeply moved.
The program also included the felicitation of our NCC students, who were awarded medals and trophies in recognition of their dedication and exemplary performances. The event concluded on a high note with the singing of the national anthem, uniting everyone in a shared sense of pride and patriotism.
